Versatile as always, more distinctive than ever – the new Caravelle eHybrid: the redesigned front apron sharpens its appearance and, together with the new exterior colours, puts it confidently in the spotlight. The revised LED headlights blend harmoniously with the fresh face, complemented by new 17-inch wheels that add even more road presence. In this way, it brings more style to everything you set out to do – from everyday family life to use as a mobile office.

Visually, the Caravelle eHybrid’s clear, timeless shape follows in the footsteps of its ancestors – but also reinterprets the classic design. The two IQ.Light LED matrix headlights and the backlit step create a striking impression at the front. The striking two-tone finish is available on the Caravelle eHybrid for the first time, and is also a real eye-catcher. Also new is the 30-colour background lighting. It shows the interior in a completely new light.

Get excited all over again

One of the main strengths of the Caravelle eHybrid are the folding individual seats in the passenger compartment, which are 25 percent lighter and can be removed in a few easy steps. This makes it even faster to set up specific seating arrangements. Whether face-to-face with the multifunction table in the middle, with all seats facing in the direction of travel or with the exterior seats removed for transporting bikes, only a few steps are needed to set up the vehicle interior just how you like it.

High quality for every journey

In the Caravelle eHybrid, you can feel just as comfortable in the city as you are on the highway, with only 12.1m turning circle. It increases the height of the passenger compartment by a further 34 mm. It is now even easier to load up and climb into the vehicle. Both the electric sliding doors and the electrically operated rear lid can be opened using a foot gesture – without taking the key out of your pocket. “Keyless Advanced” and “Easy Open” make it possible.

Stay in touch. Stay in tune

Get ready for every drive to be more digital, closely integrated and comfortable. A wide range of services give you quick access to the Caravelle 6.1 – conveniently via your smartphone. WeConnect Go includes various vehicle reports, useful tools for service planning and a breakdown call. App Connect lets you display your smartphone apps on the touchscreen of your infotainment system – meaning you can now seamlessly link between your phone and your Caravelle.

Digital Cockpit

The future displayed

Experience digital progress up close in the Caravelle 6.1 State-of-the-art infotainment systems and the Digital Cockpit offer many useful functions. A hi-res 10.25 inch LED display deliver bright colours and extremely high-contrast imagery. The Digital Cockpit is operated via the touch display of the infotainment system and via the leather trimmed multi-function steering wheel. A large second navigation map can be positioned on the Digital Cockpit – meaning both maps can be zoomed in at different distances. The Caravelle 6.1 is also equipped with WeConnect mobile online services. Once you download the WeConnect Go app, you’ll be able to access features like MyVolkswagen and Trip Monitor, from your smartphone. Staying in-touch is also always within reach with the inductive smartphone charging function.

The new range of technologically advanced systems will help you find your way quickly and easily, from the latest Digital Cockpit with a premium high-resolution multifunction display to the intuitive touch-screen radio and Discover Media navigation system. Its powerful USB charging port type C ensures uninterrupted connectivity.

Engineered for any terrain

Power alone is not enough. 4MOTION all-wheel drive makes sure you can always work or play wherever, whenever. Using an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch on the rear axle, it automatically adjusts the power transmission to your current driving conditions. A mechanical differential lock supports the 4MOTION technology, making take-offs on difficult terrain less stressful. Overall, the system’s lightweight design provides the foundations for an optimum driving response and a dynamic ride.

Safety made smart

Driving the Caravelle 6.1 offers high levels of safety and peace of mind, thanks to a host of standard and optional driver assist systems. Whether you require assistance when parking, driving, changing lanes or towing a trailer, the latest assistants monitor the situation, taking preventative action in critical situations. These systems include Park, Trailer, Side, Hill Descent ,Crosswind Assist and Tyre Pressure Monitoring. These driver assist systems make the Caravelle 6.1 one of the safest and easy driving multi-purpose vehicles on the market.

The new Caravelle eHybrid brings together either a 85kW electric motor and a 130 kW 1.5 TSI engine, to enjoy the flexibility of combined power. An adventure in the mountains, a zero-CO2 local drive to work, or a spontaneous family outing; the new Caravelle eHybrid  will take you almost everywhere.

With 4MOTION all-wheel drive, traction and control are always on your side, and you’ve got a towing capacity of up to 1,570 kg for extra versatility. Charging couldn’t be easier, simply plug in to a home charging wall box overnight for a full charge in around five and a half hours.
