Light just where you need it

As the first Volkswagen model, it is being launched with the newly developed HD matrix head-lights – one of the best lighting systems in the world. More than 19 000 interactive LEDs project a light carpet exactly onto the driving lane and illuminate the road more precisely than ever before. The interactive lighting system makes driving at night even more comfortable.

This means that your Volkswagen can project markings onto the road when the high beam is switched on. These make it easier for you to drive through narrow construction zones on the highway or to stay in your lane. The HD matrix headlight also improves the function of Dynamic Light Assist. This means that other road users and traffic signs can be blocked out even more precisely from your own high beam. When you start or park your vehicle, the HD matrix headlight provides a special light animation for you.

Innovision Cockpit

User comfort on a new level

The digital instrument cluster and the 38.1 cm (15 inch) screen of the infotainment system form one curved glass surface: the Innovision Cockpit.

Adaptive Cruise Control helps you to maintain a previously set maximum speed and preset distance to the vehicle in front. Adaptive cruise control also supports you with predictive cruise control and cornering assistance. Adaptive Cruise control can therefore adapt the vehicle’s speed to the relevant speed limits and road layouts (bends, roundabouts etc.).

Emergency braking assistant

The standard Front Assist emergency braking system with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring can warn you of critical situations involving pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles. It will even brake automatically in emergency situations.

The Touareg is an SUV that meets high expectations – and proves this too with a striking and sophisticated design. The wonderfully expressive front section with prominent air intakes and the powerful rear accentuate the sporty presence of the Touareg. Its balanced proportions emphasise its elegance – as well as its size, which makes it a comfortable companion on the road.

Take a seat and enjoy 

As soon as you sit inside the Touareg, it’s plain to see: the stylish interior design says it all. An elegant double seam runs from the dashboard across to the door sill. The Elegance and R-line are available with aluminium decorative trims and 30 color ambient lighting coupled with embossed Touareg name on the dash. The high-quality, harmoniously coordinated materials ensure a feel-good atmosphere straight away.

Even in the dark it sets standards

The HD matrix headlights give you a taste of what they can do as soon as you switch them on – with an unmistakable projection of light. The light signature on the Touareg is complemented by a light strip above the radiator grille and area lighting and has light projection onto the ground when doors open. There is also a light strip on the rear, while the brand logo in the centre is illuminated in red.

Touareg Elegance

When you opt for the Elegance equipment line, your Touareg will shine with an elegant signature light at the front and with HD matrix headlights and impressive 3D LED tail light clusters and an illuminated logo at the rear. The interior includes highlights such as the Vienna leather package, the sill panel mouldings in the front in stainless steel aluminium decorative trim and ambient lighting.

Touareg R-Line

The R-Line equipment line is ideal if you want to lend your Touareg an even sportier feel with 20-inch alloy wheels, bumper in R styling, pedals in brushed stainless steel and sill panel mouldings with R-Line logo. And to improve the driving experience even more, there’s the heatable multifunction steering wheel in leader with paddles.
